CAMPS

Website Camps.png

White Rock Gymnastics Athletics Society is a fully equipped gymnastics facility.

In our camps, each child will receive progressive gymnastics instruction through directive and exploratory learning on vault, bars, beam & floor. Skills are acquired in a safe and fun environment while developing strength, balance, and coordination.  Gymnasts may also participate in arts, crafts, games & team building activities held at our facility.

Campers will be placed into groups based on age and experience. Participants must be 5 years old prior to their first day of camp. This process will ensure that campers have the best environment to grow and develop while participating in our camp. If you have a child with health concerns, food allergies, developmental challenges, or any other concerns, please speak with our staff directly so that we can support each individual camper.

Attire:

Comfortable athletic attire, leggings, shorts, or sweatpants are all appropriate. We suggest snug fitting shirts for safety reasons as loose shirts can flip up over the eyes or get wrapped around the bars. Bodysuits are also acceptable. All athletes will be barefoot. Hair should be pulled back out of the eyes and no jewelry for safety reasons. Valuables should be left at home, including jewelry, electronic devices, and cell phones.

Snack/Lunch Breaks:

We are a NUT-AWARE facility. Please note that White Rock Gymnastics cannot guarantee facilities are Nut-Free, however, we do our best to educate visitors about being Nut-Aware at all times. All snacks will be checked by staff prior to eating. SNACKS WITH NUTS WILL BE HELD IN OUR OFFICE AND RETURNED AT THE END OF CAMP.  If you are using an alternative “butter” please make sure it is either labelled or your child knows what it is to ensure there is no confusion. Alternative suggestions include: “wow butter”, sunflower butter, soy nut butter, coconut butter etc.

Common Snacks to avoid:

Peanut Butter

Almond Butter

Nutella (hazelnut)

Pesto (pine nut)

Trail Mix

Almond/Peanut based granola bars

Baked goods with nut products (peanuts, almonds, macadamia nut, etc.)

Please pack 2 – 4 snacks, a full lunch, and a water bottle. We find students typically consume more at camp than they do during the day at school as they are a great deal more active. Any leftovers will be returned home. Staff will check student snacks and lunch prior to eating to ensure they are nut free.
